Lightme - Lightmeter is a highly efficient light meter that offers a clean and user-friendly interface.

The app is optimized for convenient one-handed use, catering to both left-handed and right-handed users. With its carefully positioned controls, you can operate the app comfortably without straining your thumb or juggling your smartphone excessively.

One standout feature of Lightme - Lightmeter is its ability to display multiple combinations of valid aperture and shutter speed settings simultaneously. Unlike most competing apps, this light meter operates like a stretched-out old needle and wheel device, allowing you to quickly select your desired settings without scrolling through a tiny wheel picker.

Whether you're an amateur or an experienced photographer, Lightme - Lightmeter accommodates all user levels. Beginners will appreciate the simple one-button operation, while advanced users can take advantage of numerous useful and advanced features:

  • Continuous metering, activated by pressing and holding or double-tapping the measure button
  • Spot metering with adjustable zoom for greater precision, supporting average metering and offering an intuitive implementation of the zone system
  • Automatic reciprocity failure compensation for over 25 film types (indicated by exposure times shown in red)
  • A dedicated pinhole mode with precise exposure times for user-defined apertures, including the option to set a timer through a shortcut
  • Incident light metering with front-facing camera calibration
  • And more...

Additionally, Lightme - Lightmeter includes several enjoyable features accessible to all users:

  • Black and white preview
  • The ability to switch between multiple cameras on your smartphone by swiping left or right on the preview
  • Multiple presets for different camera, film, and lens setups
  • Framelines to preview shots before setting up your tripod
  • A searchable list of useful tips for maximizing the app's potential
  • A searchable list of over 70 film options, with the ability to select favorites
  • Dark mode support and customizable settings

For more information, you can access the tips inside the app or consult the comprehensive user manual found under Settings.

The app is free to use with an abundance of functionalities; however, it offers In-App-Purchases to support the project.

One notable perk available through specific In-App-Purchases is the option to replace the Ad button with a label displaying your current preset. Details can be found under Settings -> Coffee.

Rest assured, the presence of an Ad button does not equate to displaying ads. In fact, unless you choose to tap on that button, no ads will ever be shown. However, taking a few minutes to watch some ads can greatly contribute to keeping this project alive.

Give Lightme - Lightmeter a try and if you enjoy using it, don't hesitate to share it with your friends and consider writing a mini-review.

Have a wonderful day, and may you always have good light!
